The “context window” refers to the amount of text that an AI model can consider when generating responses during a conversation. Think of it as a window that shows only part of the dialogue. Each time you interact with the AI, it uses only the information within this window to understand the context and produce replies. If your message exceeds the window’s limit, the model might lose important information or earlier references. A larger context window helps the AI provide more accurate and relevant responses, making the conversation smoother and more coherent. So, the bigger the context window, the better the AI can understand what you’re talking about!

We remind you that a single token is equal to 4 characters ( more or less ).
When we talk about a model, there is not anything like a limit of messages to remember but it is better to talk about tokens. Each model has a token limit, and a token is an amount of characters normally equals to 4 ( more or less ). For example the model GPT 4o has a token limit of 128.000 tokens that will be around 512000 characters.
If you would like to know how many messages can the model remember, you should count the length in characters of each message: Let’s say that you have 1000 messages of 1000 characters each, the memory will be of the last 500 messages sent because 500 messages x 1000 characters = 500.000 characters.
So is there a memory limit? Yes! But remember: The token limit does not mean that after that you can’t chat anymore, simply the chat memory will forget your first messages. Your chat can be endless!

The error message “The request failed, please try again later, change model or contact…” typically occurs when the API calls for that specific AI model are not functioning correctly or are undergoing maintenance by the producing company, such as OpenAI for ChatGPT. Usually, these issues self-resolve within a few hours, allowing you to return to chatting with the AI model. However, if the problem persists, feel free to contact us to report the issue so we can investigate the cause. In the meantime, you can always switch to another functioning AI model to continue your work without significant interruptions.
